"I want to run an ad agency someday." – Nidhi Seth

Benign face, gracious smile, tender voice and loads of talent – meet the very beautiful Nidhi Seth. Nidhi proved her mettle with every opportunity she earned as an actor, model and anchor. It takes more than talent to make a mark in the industry, says the diva, which rings true in her case. It only took a few months coming to the Mayanagari for Nidhi to bag her first project with class director Mr. Tigmanshu Dhulia.
A lover of dance and painter in her spare time, Nidhi has more than it meets eye and she has been sportive in sharing it with IAD during this amusing conversation.

Where did your journey in the glamour world start and when?
I was having a meal with my parents at a hotel when a anonymous person suggested me to take part in an actor-hunt show. Although things didn’t work out with that, it brought me to Mumbai.
After six months in Mumbai, I was selected for the lead role in a TV series Mohalla Mohabbat Wala (2006 – 2007) directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, aired on Sony Sab.
Name some big brands that you have modelled for?
I have done ad films and commercial photo shoots for brands like Fevicol, Ford Figo, Dove Shampoo, Vodafone, Whirpool Washing Machine, California Almonds, Saffola Oats, Orient Fans, PC Jewellers, Fairone  Fairness Cream, Fairglow Soap, LG AC, Bajaj Kitchen Appliances, Vimal Cooking oil, Fena Detergent, Saafi, Johnson & Johnson, KB Zaveri, BPL, Big Bazaar, Vivel Shampoo, Gelusil, Kissan Jam, Kinder Joy, Mirror White Jewellery, Alila Diva Goa Resort, TRS Chole and Honda Byke.
What is your favorite work so far?
I live each and every project I’ve done. To pick one, right now, I would say its Fevicol Marine advert. We shot it in Udaipur. It was so much fun!
How did you feel when you first saw yourself on screen?
I felt amused and criticizing feeling I could’ve done much better. It was more of a mixed feeling.

If you were not an actor, then what would you have been?
I have no idea. But my father would’ve wanted me to become an IAS officer (laughs).
How does it feel to be where you are now?
Great!
What are your other interests?
I love dancing. I’ve graduated in Bharat Natyam from renowned classical dancer Mrinalini Sarabhai‘s Darpana Academy of Performing Arts. I also practice other forms of dancing like Jazz. I paint too and love all the colors.
 
Your favorite actress?
Hema Malini!! I’m a huge, huge fan of her, like, I will do whatever she says – if she says sit, I will sit, if she stand I will stand! (laughs)
What are your future plans?
I want to run an advertising agency someday. I love everything about advertising world. It’s just amazing how they compose an interesting story in just 30 seconds.
Who inspires you the most?
My mother! Be it studies, karate, dance or anything, she made sure that I learn everything because she says, “seekhi huyi koi bhi cheez kahin na kahin kaam aathi hai” (everything you learn will help you at some time or the other).

Finally, some advice to aspiring models and actors?
Talent is not the only thing that will help you succeed, you also need luck. I see a lot of people with good talent, but they struggle every day. So, luck also plays a fair role in defining your success. Just be yourself!
