Rakul Preet

Vicco decides for a brand makeover, give it much younger look, a broader and lovely smile, and TA-DAAH… appears the angel!! Presenting Rakul Preet Singh, one of the most beautiful amongst the bevy of (multitalented) beauties! Need I remind you that Rakul was one of the top five finalists in the Pantaloons Femina Miss India (PFMI) 2011 pageant? Voted as the Miss India People’s Choice, she was awarded with the titles: Miss Beautiful Smile, Miss Beautiful Eyes (indeed!), Miss Fresh Face, and Miss Talented. The Delhite also went on to represent India at Miss Tourism Queen International in China!
Rakul started off as a pretty model in the glam world to emerge as one of the most admired actors in South cinemas. Her Telugu film Venkatadri Express is releasing today (29 Nov ’13), hence the re-post (from my blog).

Rakul is a B.Sc Mathematics (Hons) graduate from Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi. The 5’8″ tall diva started modelling as a hobby alongside her studies; walked the ramps and did print/TV commercials for country’s many favourite brands like LG, Eno, Vicco, Dabur, The Chennai Shopping Mall, among others. Her Images Bazaar collection can be seen on every other hoarding, from banks and institutes to major malls (Andhra Bank, Pepperfry, Shaadi.com, Veta Spoken English, Karur Vysya).
Rakul forayed into cinema with Kannada film Gilli (2009). Some of her Tollywood (Telugu) credits are Keratam (2011), and upcoming releases Rough and Autonagar Surya. Her Kollywood (Tamil) filmography includes Thadaiyara Thaakka, Puthagam and Yuvan and later next year Ennamo Yedho (or Yennamo Eaydho). She will debut in Bollywood with Yaariyaan (Jan 2014). Besides acting, she is a professional Golf player and a trained Bharatnatyam dancer!
